Robert Brill Passed Away

TC17 loses key stalwart

It is with great sadness that we have to say that we were recently notified of Bob Brill’s death on 7 April 2021.  We are told that he was witty, comfortable, and peaceful at his home with his wife, daughter, and cat during his last days.

Bob was for many years active within ICG as a member of TC17, serving as its chair for an extended period and indeed was one of the early recipients of the Turner Award for service to ICG’s technical committees. Much of his working life was spent at the Corning Museum of Glass.
