Cancellation of ICG 2021 Korea

Dear Members of ICG Council,

On behalf of the organizing committee of the ICG (International Commission on Glass) Annual Meeting 2021, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for your support and interests on the ICG 2021.

As you may be aware of, ICG Annual Meeting 2021 had to be postponed in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been closely monitoring its evolution and its potential to affect the ICG 2021. However, the virus and its derivatives are still spreading across the world. For this reason, the ICG 2021 Organizing Committee has concluded, with deepest regret, to cancel ICG 2021 scheduled for December 5-8 in Incheon.

We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment, not only to the participants, who applied to the open call, but also to the whole ICG community, and we share the sadness. This is not a decision we have taken lightly. The Organizing Committee’s top priority is to ensure the health and safety of all our delegates, speakers, and sponsors.

We’re planning to re-host ICG annual meeting in 2024 in Incheon (if we can obtain the final approval from the council), we hope to see you in 2024 in Korea. We would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and ongoing support.
