Official response from the European Container Glass Industry on ANSES Microplastics Study!

The European glass packaging industry acknowledges the recent ANSES study (20 June 2025) analyzing microplastics in beverage containers—including plastic, cartons, cans, and glass. The findings confirm that glass itself does not release microplastics. Where microplastics were found in bottled beverages, they were linked to metal caps or closures, not the glass containers.
