The 4th São Carlos School
Save the Date! The CeRTEV team, in collaboration with ICTP-SAIFR (IFT-UNESP), is excited to announce the Fourth São Carlos School on Glasses and Glass-Ceramics, which will take place April 27 – May 1, 2026!
Following the success of the previous editions (2015, 2023, 2024), this school is part of a prestigious international series supported by the International Commission on Glass (ICG), alongside events in Montpellier, Wuhan, and Kolkata.
The 16th Montpellier Summer School
The workshop will overview fundamentals in glass science emphasising structure-property relationships, experimental techniques including preparation, material simulations and tools that probe structure. Specific properties and applications covered include thermodynamics and kinetics, optical behaviour, mass transport, nucleation and crystallisation, strength, sol gel and good laboratory practice. The lecturers are world experts in their fields. PHD/Masters students who have recently started research in the glass industry are also welcome.
