Cindy L. Rountree is a senior research scientist in SPEC at the Université Paris-Saclay, CEA, CNRS where she has worked since 2006.  She has distinguished herself as a specialist of the nanoscale mechanisms associated with static and dynamic fracture propagation in brittle materials. She is currently studying stress corrosion cracking in SiO₂-B₂O₃-Na₂O ternary glass systems.
